British Fan Manufacturer Manrose Recognised For Apprenticeships

Manrose ApprenticeshipManrose Manufacturing, a leading UK ventilation manufacturer, has been awarded a commemorative plaque by training provider Key Training, for the training and work opportunities it provides to its Apprentices at its Reading and Slough facilities.

Through working in partnership with Key Training, Manrose has provided local young people the support needed to be successful in employment and a step on the ladder to success.

Manrose is at the forefront of the ventilation and equipment market. The company is committed to UK manufacturing and local employment which is illustrated through its ongoing expansion of its manufacturing facilities. Comprising a 2,000m² head office complex in Slough, divided into administrative, sales and assembly areas, the company is responsible for logistics of an ever-growing product range of over 2000 items. Plus the company boasts a 4000m² manufacturing centre in Reading and has opened a new distribution centre close by.

Since 2011 we have employed three young people following completion of their NVQs. The early achievement of our Procurement Manager completing an Apprenticeship has paved the way for a number of employees to follow suit, and they see the benefits of starting this journey with our Apprenticeship scheme.”

Chris was presented with a commemorative plaque at the Manrose offices in Slough on Monday, 11th May 2015 by Jenny Hyam Business Development Manager from Key Training Limited.

Jenny Hyam said: “We are thrilled to recognise Manrose with an award for its success and commitment to its Apprenticeship scheme. We partner with many businesses on their training programmes in the UK and it is wonderful when a company shows such dedication by investing in both its existing staff and also by providing local young people with an employment opportunity.”

The staff at Manrose have found the Adult Apprenticeships to be a useful programme, with Kersi Printer, Sales Support Supervisor commenting: “It’s a good guide towards improving your managerial skills”. While Emily Howes, Procurement Manager added: “Doing my Apprenticeship broadened my knowledge in many different aspects of business and provided me with access to higher education.”
