Building Regulations Approved Documents 2013 Are You Ready For The Changes

Earlier this year the Department for Communities and Local Government (DCLG) undertook a major consultation exercise in relation to proposed changes to the Building Regulations and Approved Documents in England.

The changes are taking place in two stages with the first changes being introduced on the 6th April of 2013 and the second on the 1st July 2013.

We have listed the Approved Documents for building in England, of which two are new editions; however, the others all include substantial revisions and corrections. Approved Document P (Electrical Safety) and AD7 (Material and Workmanship) are new editions, while Approved Documents A (Structural Safety), B (Fire Safety), F (Ventilation) and L (Conservation of Fuel and Power) have been revised. The documents all now have an improved layout and changed writing style.

Note: We have not listed other Approved Documents which have also been revised.
