New Logo and Marketing Pack for Members

To help JIB companies use their membership as a valuable promotion opportunity, the JIB has issued a pack to every member containing marketing guidance and a new company member logo bearing the strapline ‘the mark of a good employer’.

As part of the pack, members receive a free sample of a new van decal and hard hat sticker, and guideline copy promoting the value of JIB membership to include in tender documents and pre-qualifying questionnaires.

“Our aim is to help members raise their profile with clients and gain a competitive edge,” said Steve Brawley, JIB chief executive. “Being part of the JIB can tell customers a lot about how you look after your staff and their training, and about the quality of your work. Clients recognise that a fair approach to employment matters is a good indication of the way a company operates and conducts every aspect of its business.”

Bromley-based electrical contractor NES Electrical has welcomed the arrival of the material to help boost his business. Owner Kevin Snowdon said: “The pack is very informative and the logo shows the sign of a creditable organisation with a creditable workforce. I like the fact the JIB are now starting to move forward.

“In these hard times I believe competition is healthy – now more than ever we need to pull ourselves up and show the industry what we can do. Our clients are fully aware of the benefits of using a JIB company, this pack and the logo helps us to reinforce that.”

A competition will be launched in Spring to find the JIB members who are most effectively promoting their JIB membership.
