C-TEC Consulted Ahead of Government’s New Manufacturing Initiatives

Fab LabC-TEC’s Manufacturing Director, Stephen Collier, joined the Secretary of State for Business, Innovation and Skills, the Rt Hon Dr Vince Cable MP, in Cheshire last month at an exciting televised event designed to stimulate debate about the critical issues affecting UK manufacturing.

Hosted by The Manufacturing Institute at its Fab Lab digital fabrication laboratory in Ellesmere Port, the Round Table event involved delegates discussing the Government’s latest efforts to promote manufacturing, encourage innovation and attract new talent into industry.

Said Stephen: “C-TEC is renowned for creating innovative life-safety equipment and we are very successful at recruiting talented and enthusiastic people. We were delighted to be asked to share our experience and expertise ahead of the Government’s latest initiatives to boost UK manufacturing at home and overseas.”

The invitation to converse with the Secretary of State comes hot on the heels of C-TEC being hailed as one of the UK’s outstanding examples of manufacturing excellence in the Government’s prestigious ‘Made by Britain’ initiative.

Commented C-TEC’s Managing Director, Andrew Foster: “Any initiative by the Government to support manufacturing is to be welcomed and we were very pleased to be invited to attend the consultation. British manufacturing is the best in the world and we are incredibly proud of the fact that all of C-TEC’s products are designed and manufactured in this country.”

C-TEC’s extensive range of fire alarm control panels, call systems, voice alarms and disability products, many of which are third-party approved, are currently protecting and improving the lives of thousands of people worldwide. The company’s new range of ZFP touchscreen controlled addressable fire alarm control panels represent a major breakthrough in fire alarm technology with their flexible modular design and massive capability.
