GreenBrook Electrical, the company that pioneered electrical safety in the home with the introduction of the PowerBreaker RCD 35 years ago, added its voice to a new safety campaign last week when it welcomed Robert Halfon MP and the Electrical Safety Council (ESC) to its Hounslow HQ.
The ESC has introduced its ‘Plug In To Safety’ Campaign to help reduce the number of electrical accidents by encouraging people to assess carefully the electrical safety of their home and fit RCDs where appropriate. It’s a message that GreenBrook has been communicating for more than three decades as the originator of domestic RCDs and the UK’s leading supplier of plug in RCD adaptors and RCD sockets. As a result, when the ESC was looking for a local electrical supplier to host a meeting between the organisation and the newly elected MP, GreenBrook was only too happy to oblige. Commented managing director of GreenBrook, Richard Shaw: “We are delighted that the ESC is running this campaign as electrical safety in the home is a big issue that needs to be addressed. Holding the meeting here gave us the opportunity to show Mr Halfon around and see first-hand how a company in his constituency is driving innovation in RCD design and technology, helping him to understand the issues so that he can truly get behind the ESC’s campaign.” Following the visit, Robert Halfon has agreed to back the ESC’s Plug In to Safety Campaign. “I’d like to thank the ESC for bringing this important safety issue to my attention,” he said. “It was great to see that a company in my constituency is at the forefront of RCD technology and it was a pleasure to have the opportunity to visit the GreenBrook site.”
