The new uninterruptible power supply Product Technical Specification manual is now available from Socomec UPS.
This new manual has been modified to be easier and clearer to use for all those in the uninterruptible power supply (UPS) specification industry. The document has also slimmed down quite drastically; it’s approximately been halved in both weight and bulk from the previous manual. It has also been updated with all the newly release products from 2008, including the full 96% efficient Green Power range - including the recently released MASTERYS GP 10-40kVA and the STATYS Static Transfer Switch from 32 to 1800A.
The specifications now includes the technical details on the EMergency range from 3 to 200kVA which includes both MASTERYS and the DELPHYS MP elite units. These particular units have been developed specifically for central power supply systems (CPSS) in line with fire safety building regulations and are built to comply with standard EN 50171 CPSS.
Other new features for this guide is the overview and the selection guide. The overview goes into great detail on the issues and solutions for power supply, power availability, defines the types and basics of static uninterruptible power supply systems and static transfer switches, sizing, directives and standards as well as explaining exactly what Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) is. The selection guide section shows tables detailing which Socomec UPS ranges are best suited to an industry due to their design, for example, IT, process industry, emergency or medical.
Of course the manual continues to explain the usual details on each unit featured, including descriptions, unpacking and installation guides, how to configure the UPS through to start-up, displays and controls diagrams and detailed technical data for the more in-depth queries.
