Following the successful launch of the Raychem Academy earlier this year, the company has expanded the portal to include an enhanced specification toolbox and a news and project stories section.
The Raychem Academy provides resources for decision-making and includes: a personal, password protected web space without any obligation to download software. It includes multi-media tools which suit most needs; has video content, modular training courses and the latest literature and specification support.
Raychem Specification e-Toolbox gives product/System Engineering support enabling instant access to critical system information. It can be personalised to suit individual needs and includes: Specification Guidelines and Drawing Notes, example schematic system layouts, design overview and system checklist as well as design guides and technical support data.
The News and Project Section gives users the opportunity to read about a variety of Raychem customer applications and see how the company’s solutions and services have been used. There are also informative articles, which will be regularly updated – the current one explains how underfloor heating forms a part of sustainable living.
“The Academy has proven a very useful portal for a range of customer types” explains Jonathan Jones, European Product Manager at Tyco Thermal Controls. “Some Academy members merely want a personalised e-library of product and project information where others want to access the free online training. Having a simple to use portal allows fast access to the latest information any time of the day.”
