Baldwin Boxall is introducing two new amplifiers on stand ISCE1 at PLASA this year. In addition, the company will be demonstrating the Unitouch touchscreen paging station, the BVRD8 voice alarm control microphone, the BFM404 firemans microphone and the popular Omnicare EVC (Emergency Voice Communication) system.
New Products: BV125D and BV225 Two new D-class amplifiers the BV125D (dual 125 watt) and BV225 (225 watt - pictured) will be introduced at the show. Replacing the BV220 (220 watt) and the BV120D (dual 120 watt) the new units are more cost-effective and, together with the BV050Q (quad 50 watt) amplifier, the range provides a complete solution from the smallest to the largest voice alarm system.
Also on the stand: Unitouch Unitouch is a touchscreen paging system which is becoming an increasingly popular method of control for complex or large voice alarm systems. Displaying either a full graphic layout view of the site or buttons representing zones/areas, the system enables simple intuitive control. Touching the relevant part of the screen the user can access fire microphones, page any/all zones, select messages/background music, and much more. Administrator and guest accounts for access rights are included.
BFM404 The BFM404 is the four zone version of Baldwin Boxalls fire officers microphone. Housed in an IP66 lockable enclosure the robust, fist held microphone is used by firemen or those in control during an evacuation or other emergency. The microphone has priority over all other inputs to a voice alarm system. Other products in the range include the BFM401 (single zone) and the BFM408 (eight zone) microphone.
BVRD8 The BVRD range of microphone controllers has been designed specifically for the voice alarm market and will interface with any of Baldwin Boxalls VIGIL routers. There are eight versions in the range from 8-zone up to 64-zone. LCD panel displays provide a clear indication of each zone, name, input source and fault status. The microphone has red buttons for emergency messages (operated by a key switch), programmable function keys and message display enabling the operator to scroll through and select from the messages available. Feature-rich and simple to operate the BVRD range is an excellent choice for voice alarm control.
Omnicare VIGIL Omnicare Emergency Voice Communication (EVC) system is well-established and has been installed in many sites in the UK and Europe. It is an addressable system that allows disabled refuge, fire telephones, emergency/steward telephones and disabled toilet alarms to be connected to one master control panel. Control panels are available from 8-way up to 128-way and multiple master/slave panels can be linked in one system. With a good choice of outstation type and look, Omnicare offers the complete EVC solution.
