megamann hazardMegaman® energy saving lamps are safe. Our lamps are liquid mercury free and manufactured using Amalgam, a chemical that has been used for many years in chemistry and dentistry.

In the unlikely event of lamp breakage there is NO health hazard to the individual or pollution/contamination problem to the environment.

If a lamp should break you simply handle it as you would any broken glass. The components i.e. glass tube, Amalgam, lamp housing and base should be carefully swept up and all fragments securely contained as you would any broken glass.

All Megaman® lamp components can be recycled and we would recommend that these materials are returned to a local collection centre for safe recycling.
