click inelsClick Scolmore enters the Home Automation sector with the launch of a sophisticated Radio Frequency Wireless Control System that is set to rival current players in the market.

Simple and flexible installation, significant energy savings and easy programming are the key attributes of the new system, but it is the unique one touch centralised control panel that the company believes really sets it apart.  Lighting, heating, appliances, shutters, blinds, gates, latches and garage doors can all be easily set and adjusted from this one single control panel.

The RF Control System is the first product to be launched through Click Scolmore’s newly-created ‘home automation division’ which has been set up in collaboration with leading European electronic devices manufacturer, EKLO EP.  The Czech company has been established for 17 years and currently exports a range of products - including the iNELS brand of home automation systems - to more than 60 countries worldwide.

The Click iNELS division is headed up by Phil Peer, who has been specially appointed to the position of Automated Systems Manager.  Phil has more than 20 years’ experience in lighting controls, door entry and home automation systems including spells with Siemens and Legrand.

Flexible Installation, Easy Programming
The RF system is made up of seven wireless transmitters, five receivers and three combined units.  No additional cables or wall cutting is required to install the system as the receivers can be installed behind light fittings or into suitable installation boxes and the transmitters are powered by battery, so there is no need for any wiring or additional power supply.

Switches can be mounted on glass, wood or walls and can be moved or relocated freely, making them totally flexible.    Programming is extremely straightforward - the transmitter is easily connected to the receiver with the push of the corresponding buttons on the appropriate devices.

The system operates on the more reliable, higher frequency band - 868MHz - which makes it less susceptible to interference from other transmitting devices.

Complete, one-touch control
The RF control unit connects all the units in one intelligent wireless system with portable and remote control operating at a distance of up to 200m.

clickclockThe RF Touch - a touch screen control panel - provides centralised control and visualisation of the RF System.  Heating, switching, dimming, controlling of shutters, window and door opening can all be set and adjusted from one single control panel.  An in-built clock provides the ability to set daily/weekly switching programmes and also to simulate occupancy when the house is empty.

Complete control and regulation of heating and lighting means that energy need only be consumed when required thus leading to a reduction in energy bills.

In-house Training Facility
A dedicated training facility has been set up at the company’s Staffordshire head office to allow demonstrations and training sessions to be delivered to relevant partners.   A room set has been created that will allow the various elements of the home automation system to be demonstrated.

Comments Phil Peer:  “As RF systems go, we believe this is an exceptional offer - combining flexibility of installation and ease of programming and having the added benefit of an integral touch screen panel that controls all the different elements.”

While the new RF system is being channelled through the electrical wholesale sector, the next product that will emerge from the Click iNELS division will be a wired home automation system which will be available through the specialist installer network.
