Leading electric heating specialist Intelli Heat has renewed a contract to supply its highly responsive, energy efficient heating systems to an award-winning house-builder dedicated to developing environmentally friendly homes.
Norwich-based Heritage Developments was so impressed with an earlier scheme kitted out with some 300 Intelli Heat electric radiators that it has just installed another 70 or so in its latest development, the high-spec Waterloo Park in Leiston, Suffolk.
Waterloo Park, a short drive from the picturesque fishing village of Aldeburgh, is a high-specification development of 20 townhouses, flats and masionettes. It has proved popular with second home purchasers who appreciate the controllability and reliability of the easy-to-install Intelli Heat radiators, as Heritage sales and marketing director Mark Bradnum explained: “The Intelli Heat electric central heating system is perfect for our customers, particularly those who are away Monday to Friday since they can programme it to come on just before they arrive home. It provides a comfortable ambient temperature and is very economic to run.”
Heritage Developments, which prides itself on producing high quality, high-spec traditionally designed properties, also favours the system because it offers a number of advantages over wet central heating, most importantly much lower maintenance and improved environmental credentials.
“As a developer we are looking at providing ‘passive’ homes that use as little energy as possible. We feel Intelli Heat’s system is unique in delivering low-cost, responsive heating with little or no maintenance required. Compare that with a wet system which requires yearly servicing,” added Mr Bradnum. “We feel this sort of electric system is the future of heating in the home because of the green issues and its controllability. The next step is to match it to an energy source and then the heating will be virtually free.”
Intelli Heat has provided Heritage with a five year warranty for the radiators and also offers all purchasers a one hour tutorial on using and programming the control system.
Heritage is now looking to use electric radiators from Intelli Heat’s premium NEEDO range in to its next project, The Yarmouth Road development in Norwich.
All Intelli Heat systems are fully compliant with Parts L1 and L2 of the Building Regulations and offer unrivalled programming and control options ensuring individual zone control.
Intelli Heat managing director Salvatore Cirasuolo said of the contract renewal: “We are delighted to continue working with Heritage Developments, which shares our passion for customer-focused, high quality products. We strongly believe that electric central heating systems are the future, being a cleaner and more environmentally friendly option that is also maintenance free. Our radiators and towel rails ensure responsive comfortable heating and a high level of energy efficiency, especially when used in conjunction with unrestricted Economy 10 by Scottish & Southern Energy.”
