 Access Key & Lock, access control specialists based in Fareham, rely extensively upon door entry and access control products from Videx for many school security projects. The installation of Videx door entry and access control products prevents children from inadvertently wandering out of the school grounds and also stops visitors or parents from entering school grounds without being announced first.
At one particular school two Videx DDA (Disability Discrimination Act) compliant, vandal resistant door entry kits have been installed to ensure the needs of all visitors are met. These simple, modern and reliable units, which feature an illuminated Braille call button, are fitted inside and outside of the entrance gate to the school grounds. When the call button is pressed, the system’s telephone handset rings in the school's reception office. A member of staff then decides whether to grant access for the visitor.

The installation has ensured that within reason that no one can simply enter the school grounds without a member of staff being aware of their presence.
