Modular Wiring Systems, a subsidiary of electrical cable manufacturer Tratos Ltd., has designed, manufactured and supplied modular lighting distribution and control systems for the new Suffolk One sixth form centre in East Anglia.

The Thorlux Light Line Integra is an extension to the extremely successful suspended direct/indirect Thorlux Light Line range.

The Integra, designed as an all-in-one lighting and cable trunking solution features one earth shielded cable channel either side of the luminaire allowing on site fitment of wiring for ancillary equipment such as integrated fire detection, public address systems and telecommunications/IT cabling.

REHAU has launched a new antimicrobial option for its data trunking range. It has been designed specifically to help reduce micro organisms which may cause harmful infections and diseases in environments such as hospitals and schools. REHAU’s cable trunking incorporates BioCote’s silver ion antimicrobial technology which inhibits the growth of bacteria and mould.

Riegens “Blocks” luminaires have been installed in the newly refurbished King Solomon Academy in Lisson Grove, NW London.  Specified by Arup, the brief was to provide high quality, robust luminaires that would provide a good even light distribution, a vital element for today’s classrooms that have to cater for both traditional teaching methods and high tech presentations.

Fläkt Woods has won a recent education contract in London. At Ark Academy in Wembley, AHU’s with thermal wheels are being provided to enhance air quality and improve energy efficiency.

Ark School in Wembley is an all-through academy for 3 – 18 year olds, in new state-of-the-art accommodation. Working for Mitie Engineering Services (SE) Region who are engaged as the design and build contractor, Fläkt Woods is supplying four new AHU’s from their eQ range, two fitted with thermal wheels, as well as one with a run around coil.
